About Fernando

Fernando Heil Lutiis is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources practice with a focus in the Agribusiness and forestry sectors (including crops, crop inputs production and distribution, origination, trading and processing in oilseeds, grains, sugar, coffee, cocoa, and other). He is also active in logistics, transportation and infrastructure (including railways, ports, toll roads, airports, urban mobility and electrification); as well as a member of the firm's Performance Improvement practice. 

Fernando has over 25 years of management consulting experience, advising leading companies across multiple industries including agriculture, forestry, pulp & paper, logistics and logistics infrastructure, and private equity & financial investors. He is active in corporate and business unit strategy, investment appraisal, cost transformation, operational excellence, sustainability and climate change.

Prior to joining Bain in 1998, Fernando worked as a reinsurance underwriter in the United States. He also worked for the Financial and Accounting department at Procter & Gamble in Brazil.

Fernando holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He earned a BA in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Brazil). He is fluent in English, Portuguese, German, French and Spanish.
