Andrew is a partner at Bain & Company's Houston office who has 30 years of experience in the energy sector and has been consulting for 25 years as well.. He co-leads the Bain & Company's North America oil & gas practice.

Andrew has led multiple assignments in the oil & gas and power industries. His experience covers corporate and business unit strategy, organizational design and implementation, operating model design and transformation, technology and functional capability assessment and development, and performance assessment and improvement.

Andrew's relevant oil/gas and power project experiences include a comprehensive transformation of a global E&P player's North American region from a conventional unit to an unconventional, low cost business through implementation of a 'lean manufacturing' model. He has conducted benchmarking research and developed a plan to strengthen the upstream technology portfolio, the organization, the external brand and performance of a major oil company unit. He has led the integration and redesign of multiple upstream functional units into one regional, strategic business unit for a global mega major. Andrew has also identified critical capability areas and technology enablers for a major oil company's extra heavy oil operations; assessed state of internal technology efforts vs. external availability. He assessed historic value creation strategies for leading downstream independents and highlighted future opportunities for senior management and board discussions. He has conducted corporate and asset due diligence in the downstream sector for a leading private equity company and reviewed operating processes and performance for a merchant generating company and developed a comprehensive change and performance improvement plan

Andrew attended Purdue University for his undergraduate studies where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business for his MBA where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar (top 10% of class).

Prior to Bain, Andrew worked as a Production Operations engineer for ExxonMobil before business school; he spent two years launching an AG energy tech PE firm, and was an advisor to a variety of energy technology firms in early 2000's
