Christophe is a director of Bain & Company's Middle East
office and a core member of Bain's global oil & gas
practice.
Christophe has close to 25 years experience in the oil & gas
sector successively with ExxonMobil (1987-1993), McKinsey &
Company (1993-2007), Investcorp (2007-2010) and Bain & Company
(2010-present).
He has distinctive experience in M&A, corporate finance, PMI
and strategy. He personally led throughout his career with
ExxonMobil, Investcorp and McKinsey commercial transactions
including in E&P and OFS.
Furthermore, in oil & gas, he has advised extensively
leading IOCs and NOCs including in Asia-Pacific on business
strategy, operations, turnaround, talent and capability
development. and organization. He covered the all value chain from
E&P to petrochemicals.
Christophe started his career with Exxon Corporation back in
1987. He took multiple management roles in Europe and the US
including scanning, evaluating and negotiating downstream
investment opportunities for Exxon in former USSR and North
Africa.
He subsequently joined McKinsey & Company in 1993. During
his 14 years with McKinsey, he focused on advising leading IOCs and
NOCs across Europe, US, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. He led
the McKinsey Middle East & Asia Pacific Energy Practices
for eight years and was a core member of the McKinsey
Corporate Finance practice.
Prior to joining Bain, Christophe was the Managing Director and
co-Head of Investcorp's $1 billion MENA Private Equity fund and a
member of its Management Committee. During this time, he screened,
evaluated and closed a number of significant investments.
