Ed Lin

Ed Lin is a partner and founding member of Bain & Company’s Singapore office, and is Co-Head of the firm’s Global Financial Services Practice. He joined Bain in 1991 in the San Francisco office and has worked across Asia (Singapore, Greater China, Japan, and Korea) since 1994.  

While at Bain, Ed has worked with multinational and local financial institution client on engagements spanning growth strategies, performance improvement mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, change management and organization design. He has advised on several of the largest mergers, buyouts and divestitures of financial institutions across Asia (particularly Korea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia).

Ed serves on the Advisory Board of the Singapore Management University Lee Kong Chian School of Business and is a guest lecturer at INSEAD.  

He earned an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, graduating as a Regents and National Merit Scholar.
