Gary Turner is a partner in Bain & Company’s Sydney office, and Head of the Asia-Pacific Financial Services Practice. Gary joined Bain in 1985 and has over twenty years of experience in most sub-segments of the financial services sector working with his numerous clients in Australia and New Zealand, throughout Asia and the US.
Gary’s experience includes the development and implementation of customer segmentation methodologies, new product launch programs and distribution channel strategies, performance improvement and cost reduction programs, and mergers & acquisitions.
Gary also has significant experience in international growth strategy particularly in China. His management experience includes a recent role as Executive General Manager for International Business Development with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia before he rejoined Bain.
Gary holds an MBA with distinction from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Brasenose College, University of Oxford.
