Grace Shieh is a partner in Bain & Company’s San Francisco office. She is a leader in Bain's Healthcare and Chemicals practices.
Grace joined Bain in 1999 and, over the course of her career, has built considerable experience advising senior leadership teams on their most pressing strategic challenges.
Grace spends the majority of her time working with global and local biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device clients on strategy and performance improvement initiatives. She focuses on business unit and therapeutic area strategies, commercial innovation and new business models, go-to-market and distribution implementation and M&A initiatives.
Grace also has experience with family-owned businesses on issues of professionalization, succession planning and exit.
In addition to San Francisco, Grace has also worked in the firm’s Boston, New York, Los Angeles and Shanghai offices, bringing a global perspective to her engagements. She previously served as the leader of Bain's APAC Healthcare practice.
She earned her MBA in Strategic Management and Operations and Information Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University. In addition to her client commitments, Grace is also actively involved in the firm’s training and recruiting programs.
