About Graham

Graham Elton is Chair of our EMEA Private Equity business, which he ran from 2005 to 2018.  He has served on our Investment Committee since 2009. He is also a core member of our Media practice and leads our pro bono social impact work in the UK, with a particular focus on projects in the education sector.

In addition to his work with us, Graham serves as Chair of With Intelligence, JMAN Group and Sportscape. He is former Chair of Lane Clark and Peacock, Capital Economics, Law Business Research and SLR Consulting. He is a Founding Member of bd-capital’s Investment Advisory Committee and Operators Club.

Graham is one of the founders of Greater Share, an innovative philanthropic fund of funds, and chairs its Investment Committee. He is Chair of Now Teach and a board member of the National Youth Theatre and the Education Endowment Foundation.

Prior to joining Bain, Graham was chief executive officer at Miller Freeman UK (now part of Informa); managing director at FT Business and strategy director at Pearson.

Graham holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an M.A. from Oxford University.

He was awarded an MBE for services to the economy in the Queen's 2020 Birthday Honours List.
