J. Sharad is a partner in Bain & Company's Oil & Gas practice in South East Asia. He has experience in a broad range of strategic and operational issues, and has worked on projects in the following areas:

- Review of oil field services market and business model for private equity player making acquisitions
- Understanding the economics of production sharing contracts (PSCs) for Indonesian IOC operator

Prior to joining Bain, J. Sharad was managing director of L.E.K. Consulting, SE Asia; and he founded L.E.K.'s Bangkok (1998) and Singapore (2000) offices.
J. Sharad has served as certified director, Thailand Institute of Directors, and is a frequent lecturer at Sasin and Chulalonkorn University.
J. Sharad earned his masters degree in theological studies from Harvard University (1993) and his bachelor of arts degree in literature and history from Oberlin College (1986).
