Meredith Whipple Callahan is the Senior Manager, Leadership at Bain & Company, based in the firm's San Francisco office.
Meredith serves as a subject matter expert and facilitator on leadership both inside and outside of the firm. She is co-author of Bain’s point of view on leadership as well as the article "Leaders who inspire: A 21st-century approach to developing your talent." Meredith’s client engagements on leadership span multiple industries, including Healthcare, Technology, Non-profit and Financial Services. Meredith brings a cross-cultural perspective to business; she has lived and worked in San Francisco, Boston, Singapore and New Delhi and has trained leadership-specific topics in more than a dozen countries globally.
Before dedicating her time to leadership, Meredith focused on organizational change and transformation. Previously, she helped found the Full Potential Transformation practice area at Bain. As part of this work, Meredith co-authored Bain’s playbook for delivering large-scale transformation change and co-founded the Transformation Leaders Forum, a forum for senior change executives. Meredith also has deep experience with Bain's Private Equity consulting group, where she has worked on dozens of diligence cases.
Meredith is certified as an Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i) practitioner and trained as a strengths-based executive coach (StrengthsFinder).
Meredith graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business as an Arjay Miller Scholar. Prior to that, she graduated magna cum laude with distinction in religious studies from Yale University. At Yale, she was recipient of the Saybrook Master’s Award for leadership as well as the William Baer Traveling fellowship for study of theological aesthetics in Norway. Meredith also holds a degree in Patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu, London.
