Michael Brookshire is a partner in Bain & Company's Dallas office. He is a member of Bain's Healthcare, Retail, Performance Improvement and Strategy practices.
He has more than 13 years of management consulting experience, advising clients on their biggest opportunities and challenges.
Michael's primary focus is in healthcare, where he has advised companies across the value chain with a focus on providers and services and additional experience in medtech and pharma. He has also worked extensively in the retail and restaurant sectors, particularly in operations (stores, sourcing and procurement) as well as customer experience and loyalty. Additionally, he has worked with several leading airlines and clients in industrials, construction and technology.
Michael has considerable performance improvement experience including transformations, salesforce improvements, customer experience delivery, staffing and labor optimization and direct and indirect procurement. His strategy work covers corporate and business unit strategy, adjacency growth, new business development, merger integrations and divestitures.
While at Bain, Michael has held a number of leadership roles including leading the Bain Texas alumni program, running the Texas Manager/Principal and Associate Consultant programs and training at multiple key sessions around the world.
He has applied his consulting expertise globally with Bain, having lived in and served clients in the firm's Sydney and Singapore offices.
Michael earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He also graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
