Miles Cook is a leader in the firm's Performance Improvement and Private Equity practices. He chairs the investment committee for Future Back Ventures, which invests in startups founded or led by Bain alumni. Additionally, he leads Bain's team managing partnerships with over 500 outside technology, data and service firms that support Bain's services to its clients.

Miles has worked extensively with companies in the consumer products, retail, industrial, technology and logistics industries on topics related to growing the bottom line and enterprise value. He has cross-industry experience with market segmentation, growth strategy, channel strategy, sales force structure and deployment, working capital optimization, logistics network optimization and change management.

Miles also co-leads Bain's Private Equity practice in the Southeast. He has worked with clients at more than a dozen funds to assess over 200 investment opportunities across a wide variety of manufacturing, technology and service businesses.

Miles has held multiple governance roles at Bain including serving as a member of the Global Compensation and Promotion committee, Managing Partner for the Atlanta office, global leader of the firm's Performance Improvement practice.

He earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford, where he was an Arjay Miller scholar. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with highest distinction. Miles currently sits on the boards of Atlanta's Alliance Theater and the Telluride Science Research Center.
