Olivier Marchal is the Regional Managing Director of Bain & Company EMEA. He joined the firm in 1986 and worked successively in London and Brussels before returning to Paris.
He has led assignments in a variety of industries including consumer goods, retail, industrial services and transportation. Olivier's experience covers mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy, growth strategies and cost reduction. He is also active with the private equity practice in France working with investments funds on investment idea generation, strategic due diligence and portfolio company improvement.
Olivier joined Bain & Company following his graduation from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his MBA and was John Boyer scholar. He is also a graduate of Essec in France. Prior to his study at Wharton, he worked with Cogema in Gabon, and with First National Bank of Boston as a credit analyst and loan officer.
