Interview: Building India with private equity

Private equity investors are poised to play a faster-growing role in financing much-needed infrastructure projects in India, a country infamous for clogged roads and power outages and lacking a mature local bond market to provide long-term project funding. Reuters spoke to Gopal Sarma, a partner at Bain & Company, about the prospects of private equity investors. Bain released a report recently on private equity investment in India.
