In a new report, Bain & Company polled 632 physicians and 100 procurement professionals to find out how recent changes in the United States healthcare system, most notably the regulatory and financial pressures to cut costs, are affecting healthcare on the clinical level. "In medtech, there's been a very significant shift towards consolidation of vendor lists," explained Tim van Biesen, the leader of Bain's Americas Healthcare practice and co-author of the report. "That's led to is a constraint of choice by physicians."
