Global private equity healthcare exits to strategics hit $34 billion in 2014, an increase of $12 billion on the previous year, according to Bain & Company. "The last couple of years in healthcare deal-making have seen higher multiples – that is true of the entire private equity universe. This year, I'd say there were a lot of assets that were interesting but price does become a barrier to many funds," said Bain Partner Nirad Jain.
