WEF report paints bleak picture in the energy space

"We are entering a period of unprecedented investment to meet our energy policy goals, but decreasing returns and increasing risk are raising questions over future investment," said Bain & Company Partner Julian Critchlow. According to a report from the 2015 World Economic Forum written in collaboration with Bain, the root causes of the sector's investment challenges include sub-optimal geographic deployment, inadequate carbon price signaling and declining returns of conventional generation.
