Associate Consultant (AC)
The AC is the person who finds the critical information, develops high-quality analysis and assesses the most pressing issues. We invest a lot of resources in our ACs. For young professionals starting their careers, there's no better position to be in. Candidates from top engineering colleges typically join as ACs. Those from top Indian business schools join as an experienced AC.

Senior Associate Consultant (SAC)
An SAC's experience and maturity allows him/her to analyze more complex problems, develop deeper client relationships and take on greater leadership within the team. Select business school students with strong and relevant work experience can be offered SAC positions.

Consultant
A Bain consultant is involved in all aspects of consulting - developing a plan to solve the client's problems, executing the analysis, translating analysis into meaningful recommendations and moving the client to action.

Case Team Leader (CTL)
A CTL is a manager in training. He/she manages the entire analytical process, becomes an expert on the client's issues and industry, and recommends solutions that make a real impact. CTLs play a key role in moving clients to action.

Manager
Managers are the focal point between the team and the client. They are the ones responsible for delivering results to the client. From identifying the crucial problems to working out an implementable solution, they take point responsibility to drive client and team to successful problem-solving.

Partner
A partner takes on a larger role with Bain globally as well as developing new client relationships. However, they are also very involved in the work being done by the team, bringing their extensive knowledge and expertise to the table. Nomination to partner is the ultimate acknowledgement to personal merit.
