BGLAD's mission statement: The mission of BGLAD is to support the recruitment and retention of talented gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender colleagues at Bain and Bridgespan. Our mission requires that we: Deliver a strong and unified diversity message throughout the recruiting process Maintain an open communications' channel with the Bain leadership team in order to advise them on GLBT policies and ensure a comfortable work environment Increase the overall awareness of GLBT issues across the global Bain organization We believe that accomplishing our mission will contribute to a diverse and inclusive community at Bain, which will benefit both our clients and our employees worldwide

BGLAD membership includes employees from Bain as well as from Bain's sister non-profit consulting organization, The Bridgespan Group. Within Bain and Bridgespan, BGLAD supports regular informal communication and mentoring between its members and hosts BGLAD's Annual Summit each spring, an offsite planning meeting providing an opportunity to network and discuss issues. BGLAD is very active on the recruiting front, hosting gay and lesbian target dinners and receptions at top undergraduate and business schools each year. BGLAD has also coordinated Bain & Company's recurring sponsorship of "Reaching Out MBA," the annual conference of gay, lesbian and bisexual business school students. We also sponsor the annual "Out for Undergraduate Business Conference."
