Blacks at Bain (BABS) is an organization of black
professionals whose vision is to facilitate the
recruiting, retention, professional development and
social cohesion of African-Americans at Bain &
Company. BABS was founded in Boston with coordinated
ties to other Bain offices.
Primary goals and objectives:
- Increase black presence at Bain
- Provide supporting resources for professional success and retention
- Share knowledge
- Mentor (formally/informally)
- Have fun and build a sense of
community
Activities include:
- Annual conference
- Interoffice dinners and events
- Sponsorship and participation
at major business school conferences
