We recognize that thriving requires flexibility in how one structures their long-term career, so we invest to enable many models of success via a full suite of flexible opportunities including part-time work, transfers, externships, time away and internal roles.
Culture & training:
We are focused on working with each region and office to ensure that we have an inclusive culture that enables every woman to thrive. This includes efforts such as ongoing dialogue forums to discuss the drivers of aspiration & confidence and behaviors we need to undertake to influence them. Our Global Women's Forum is a three-day training session held every other year. It brings together all of our senior women, as well as many senior men, for training and conversations about day-to-day initiatives.
Bain’s Global Women’s Leadership Council (GWLC) is our global ‘governing body’, and includes our chief talent officer, our regional managing directors, several office heads from each region and other senior partners in the firm (both male and female). The GWLC’s primary role is to ensure that we develop and embed the global efforts to stay on the forefront of gender diversity in our firm. Within the GWLC, we have three Regional Operating Committees who work to ensure that our global efforts are customized to each region and to create specific initiatives where relevant.
Local WAB support:
We know that every woman is an individual, and every woman's path is different. In each office we have put in place a WAB partner & manager responsible for personalizing the global & regional initiatives to every individual woman in that office. These teams develop the local initiatives (mentorship, experience sharing, professional development) that further impact the day-to-day experience and enable women in that office to thrive.
