Experienced professionals

We recruit experienced professionals year-round. Your years of relevant experience will help determine which role you should apply for at Bain. During the interview process, as we learn more about your experiences, we will make any required adjustments to the position level that you are applying for.

  • Up to five years of experience – AC
  • Between six and 10 years of experience – Consultant

AC interviews

Bain’s interview process involves a series of case interviews to help us get to know you better. Since each of the case interviews will entail a discussion of an actual Bain case, you will also gain some insights into what it is like to work at Bain. We encourage you to prepare for your case interviews.

Successful candidates will participate in up to two rounds of interviews, each with two 40-45 minute interviews.

First round
You will meet with two senior ACs or consultants in our office or over the phone. The bulk of the first round of interviews will revolve around the discussion of Bain cases. Your interviewer will present a short business problem and then ask you to structure the problem and recommend a practical solution.

Your interview may kick off with an opportunity to share your achievements future goals. You should also have time at the end to ask your interviewer questions.

Second round
Those successfully passing the first round will participate in a second round of interviews. You will meet with Bain managers, principals or partners and the second round will consist of two 40-minute case interviews. You may also expect experience interview-type questions in your case interviews.

Consultant interviews
