Business school opened my eyes to many new opportunities.
After three intense years at Bain, an MBA was a perfect opportunity for me to take a step back and reflect on the next steps in my career. In particular, I wanted to learn more about entrepreneurship. Bain sponsored the tuition fee, and several alumni helped me tremendously with my application. My fellow students at INSEAD were a big inspiration to me, and opened my eyes to a wide set of career options, that I had not previously considered. This included a number of concrete entrepreneurial opportunities. Out of all these options, I still chose to return to Bain after graduation. The difference is that I now have a much clearer idea of the advantages that Bain has to offer, and I made a conscious choice to continue to benefit from those. To me, the most important benefits are the diversity of the assignments, the challenge of the work and the energy I get from the people. Besides being instrumental in my professional development, an MBA is also a lot of fun. With campuses in both France and Singapore, INSEAD offers the experience of a lifetime. Even more importantly, I made a lot of new friends from all over the world. Finally, an MBA can also be a good chance to take some time off. After my MBA (at the end of which my wife and I got married), we took the chance to travel around Asia for three months. It was the perfect conclusion of an unforgettable year!
