Bain-UNHCR Strategy Days

About the Business Course

The UNHCR Strategy Days business course is a great opportunity to experience what a career in strategy consulting at Bain & Company is like and to get to know our people – from associate consultants to our most experienced partners.

With new emergencies and ongoing conflicts generating large-scale displacement and protracted situations failing to be resolved, the number of persons of concern to UNHCR and the corresponding resource requirements necessary to meet their needs have reached levels previously unseen. Despite the strong support UNHCR continues to receive from its traditional donors, the funding gap has continued to grow. Against this background, individual donors, corporations and foundations have come to play an increasingly important role in supporting the work of UNHCR.

During the business course, we will be exploring how UNHCR in the Netherlands can expand its private sector partnerships strategy and increase income from the private sector to support programs of UNHCR across the globe. There is no 'model answer'—we're looking for your thoughts and solutions about this subject in order to help UNHCR. You will fly to Copenhagen and closely work together with UNHCR and Bain consultants in UNHCR's office. During the business course you will be guided by Bain consultants through workshops, group sessions and individual chats. Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to meet many of our people during lunches, dinners and drinks! On the last day of the business course, you will present your findings and recommendations to UNHCR's management and partners from Bain. Will you take this opportunity?

The business course will take place between the 3rd of April until the 6th of April 2018. Applications are open until the 18th of February 2018.
