Why Bain?
I have not found such a group of talented, sociable, caring people all in one place before. Right from my first interviews I felt a cultural 'fit'. Since then, I have really appreciated the support and coaching from my class and the broader office.
My passion at Bain and outside of the office?
I really enjoy being challenged and getting out and active. During my time at Bain I have not only stretched myself professionally, I've also run my first ½ marathon, done my first ocean swims and a 90km ride from Sydney to the nearby town of Wollongong.
My favorite (recent) case
A highlight of my time here is when I went to a cooking class with my case team. The chef/teacher was incredibly strict - it was hilarious watching the partner get yelled at for not cutting the herbs the right way and the manager catch a tea towel on fire. It was a great team bonding night which I'll never forget.
My personal results story
Carrying out a major customer experience improvement programme. I found it incredibly gratifying to be involved in the whole process - from diagnosing the problem to working closely with key clients to implement our initiatives.
A final thought
When going through your interviews really sit back and think about where you feel most comfortable and what fits with your long term goals.
