Bain & Company Australia is delighted to invite you to apply for our True North Scholarship for Women - open to female students from any academic discipline, in their penultimate year of study.

Applying for the scholarship provides the opportunity to:

  • Receive a $15,000 scholarship and a Bain mentor to provide guidance and access to a vast professional network
  • Be invited to attend a one-day 'True North' workshop designed to inspire and equip you with practical skills to develop your leadership ability and increase your personal impact
  • Potentially receive an offer to join Bain Australia as an Associate Consultant in 2020

Timeline:

  • 11:59pm AEST, 8 July - Application deadline
  • 13 July - Invitations to first-round interviews and True North Workshop extended
  • 19 and 20 July - True North Workshop in Sydney
  • Week commencing 30 July - First-round interviews
  • Week commencing 6 August - Final round interviews
Application & Eligibilty

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be:

  • An Australian citizen or Permanent Resident, or New Zealand citizen
  • A female penultimate year undergraduate, postgraduate (non-MBA) or PhD student, expecting to graduate at the end of 2019 or mid-2020.
  • A strong academic achiever who thrives on creating an impact
  • Someone who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering results
  • Active in community or extra-curricular activities

  • Your CV (1-2 pages)
  • Your university transcripts (unofficial transcripts will be accepted)
  • Your cover letter (1 page), addressed to Jasmine Chhabra, responding to the two questions below
    • Why are you interested in receiving the True North Scholarship?
    • What does 'True North' mean to you? Tell us about an experience/story you've had regarding 'True North.'
Interviews

Successful applicants will participate in two rounds of case interviews with Bain. Everyone who is invited to interview will also be assigned an interview buddy to help with preparation and support throughout the process.
We recommend that you prepare for these interviews by reviewing the case study preparation section on www.bain.com/careers.

Workshop

All applicants who are selected for interview will be invited to attend our True North Scholarship workshop, in Sydney from 19 to 20 July. The workshop offers exceptional insight into our industry and what a career in consulting can offer, as well as opportunities to learn and practice a number of key skills, including some of the tools our teams use to crack critical business problems.
Taking part in our True North Scholarship is also a unique opportunity to meet a group of high achieving young women from across Australia and New Zealand and together learn about the impact we have here at Bain and how our supportive culture can assist you in realising your full potential.
