Serving our community is a rich tradition within Bain. On a grassroots level, we work with national and local foundations and organizations to serve our own cities and neighborhoods. We use cutting-edge for-profit skills and capabilities to improve the nonprofit sector. Worldwide, we've served many major nonprofit clients as part of our standard caseload on a pro bono basis.
Bain Boston is proud of our active participation in projects that improve and enrich our community. Our people get personal fulfillment through delivering results and helping clients become more valuable. This same motivation drives them to contribute their time and skills to community work. The Boston office encourages and facilitates this through our Community Works Group. Read below to learn more about some of our community initiatives.
In 2003 our Community Works Group instituted Bain Day for People a commitment to set aside one day a year to serve our community as an office. The inaugural service event was a day of painting and beautifying a local school, The Josiah Quincy School in Boston's South End. Since then we have volunteered to provide thousands of hours of service, helping over 30 organizations in the Boston area.
