Experienced professional

We recruit experienced professionals year-round. Your years of relevant experience will help determine which role you should apply for at Bain:

  • Up to three years of experience – AC
  • Between three and six years of experience – Consultant
  • More than six years of experience – Manager

Your position level will be assessed and adjusted, if needed, during the interviews.

You will not be hired to specialize further in your current field of expertise, but instead to leverage this expertise in your assignments and broaden your skills and industry experience. An induction program with formal training in business concepts and technical matters, along with close coaching, will help build your career rapidly within Bain. As with all our consulting staff, performance and progress are formally evaluated every six months, leading to tailor-made professional development advice.People who have been through this program, as well as senior staff from our organization, are open to discussing the possible benefits of such a career move before you start the formal recruiting process.

Contact us for more information or if you have questions regarding the experienced professional recruiting process.

We hope you will consider joining our Brussels team. Please submit your online application on our career website: JoinBain.com. You will be notified if you have been selected for an interview.

Application requirements
Since English is the working language in our office, you must be fluent in English. Working knowledge in Dutch or French is preferable, but not required.

You will be asked to submit the following to complete your online application to Bain:

  • Motivation letter discussing why you are interested in strategy consulting, Bain & Company and the Brussels office
  • Résumé (1-2 pages recommended)
  • Complete academic records (optional)
  • Relevant test scores
  • Office preference(s) (select no more than three)

Bain’s interview format involves a series of case interviews to help us get to know you better. Since each of the case interviews will entail a discussion of an actual Bain case, you will also gain some insights into what it is like to work at Bain. We strongly encourage you to prepare for your case interviews.

Successful candidates will participate in up to three rounds of interviews; each round will have two 45-minute case interviews. First round interviews are typically with senior associate consultants and consultants, and second rounds with managers and principals. In final rounds, you will meet with two senior staff members. The bulk of your interviews will focus on Bain cases. Your interviewer will present a short business problem and ask you to structure it and recommend a practical solution.

Your interview may begin with an opportunity to share your achievements and future goals. You should also have time at the end to ask your interviewer questions.
