Piet is a partner in the Brussels office. He holds an MBA from Vlerick University and a Master of Science from the University of Gent.
He has extensive experience in turnaround management and general management. Piet has worked in the oil, graphics (machine building) and floor coverings industry. In Bain he is a member of the industry practice.
Piet started his career at FINA/TOTAL as assistant plant manager and moved later to Paris as supply chain optimization manager. In 2000 he became general manager of a number of companies for Punch International (Strobbe Graphics in Ieper, Belgium and Basysprint in Boizenburg, Germany). Prior to joining Bain he was employed as a divisional manager at Domo N.V.
A Belgian citizen, Piet de Paepe has spent his professional life in Belgium, France, and Germany. He is married, has 2 sons, Marcus and Alexander. In his spare time he enjoys literature, art and growing orchids.
