Our training programmes are arguably the best in our industry. Very few people join us with more than five years of business experience, and rarely does anyone have any strategy consulting experience. Therefore, quickly putting our new recruits up to speed is not a matter of luxury, but one of necessity.
Training
There are several categories of training activities at Bain:
- The core international programmes: Every year, our consulting staff spends between one and two weeks attending intensive off-site programmes with their worldwide peers. These programmes provide the basics needed to work at your level. Some are even prepared by one to two weeks of local preparatory sessions
- Specific skills programs: Whether you need to refresh your notions of corporate finance, your presentation skills or your language skills, Bain organises year-round one- to three-day sessions, usually at the local level
- Experience sharing sessions: Frequent office luncheons are organised to share some of our best practices
The majority of our programmes are taught in-house by our own consulting staff (they know best your requirements). We also hire some of the best professionals around. And just to make sure you are well trained, most study material is available online, on your desktop or via the Internet, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
MBA policy
Bain Brussels considers that pursuing an MBA is part of the normal professional development of its consultants, and is therefore ready to sponsor and finance applications of such programmes.
Obtaining an MBA is not a pre-requisite for further promotion at Bain. For those individuals who wish to pursue their career without an MBA, Bain Brussels will offer other professional development options, including transfers to other offices or an externship at a Bain client.
A select group of business schools are covered by the Bain Brussels' MBA policy. To be eligible, consultants must have at least two years of work experience at Bain and be considered as "on-track" performers. Further, they must be committed to rejoin Bain upon completion of the MBA programme.
Support includes help in writing the MBA application documents, personal recommendations and funding of the tuition fees.
