Undergraduates or master's degree

We look for AC and associate consultant intern (ACI) candidates with strong analytic abilities and outstanding academic records. However, simply being eager, driven and smart will not earn you a spot on our team. Our team is made up of passionate people, who are uncomfortable with the status quo, who are supportive of one another and who like to have a little fun while solving real-world problems. Who should apply to be an AC?
We encourage undergraduate and master’s students who are pursuing the final year of their degree to apply for the AC position. Master’s candidates with up to four years of relevant professional experience should also apply for the AC role. Your position level will be assessed and adjusted, if needed, during the interviews. Apply now

We hope you will consider joining our Buenos Aires team. Please submit your online application on our career website, JoinBain.com, or send us an email. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

The application process has three steps:

  1. Candidates must complete a multiple-choice test in English with questions similar to those on the GMAT.
  2. Candidates who are invited to interview with Bain will have individual interviews with consultants and managers in our Buenos Aires office. There are typically two 60-minute interviews, and discussions of real business cases will make up the majority of the interviews.
  3. Candidates who are successful in the first round of interviews will meet with Bain managers and partners in the Buenos Aires or São Paulo offices. There are typically two interviews, and they will follow the same format as the first round of interviews.
  • Speak, read and write English at an advanced level
  • Be a recent graduate or have graduated within the last three years to apply for the associate consultant position. Or, be in the final year of college to apply for an internship
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • We accept candidates of all academic backgrounds and don’t have a preference regarding candidates’ major in school. We don’t require specific business knowledge.

Bain’s interview process involves a series of case interviews to help us get to know you better. Since each of the case interviews will entail a discussion of an actual Bain case, you will also gain some insights into what it is like to work at Bain. We encourage you to prepare for your case interviews.

Successful candidates will participate in up to two rounds of interviews; each round will have two to four 60-minute interviews. An English exam with multiple-choice questions may also be given, based on a candidate’s test scores and case interviews.

First round
The first round of interviews will consist of two 60-minute case interviews with consultants and managers from the Buenos Aires office.

The bulk of these interviews will revolve around the discussion of Bain cases. Your interviewer will present a short business problem and then ask you to structure the problem and recommend a practical solution.

Second round
Those successfully passing the first round will participate in a second round of interviews in our office. You will meet with Bain managers and partners during this final round, which will consist of two 60-minute case interviews.
