After many years at Bain, one thing that continues to surprise me is how the job just keeps getting more and more interesting. double-quote-close

Why Bain?

I knew I wanted to get into consulting out of business school to continue learning. As I got to know the firms better, Bain was the obvious choice. I found that I clicked with everyone I met at Bain and I am still amazed by how much I enjoy working with everyone here.

My passion

My passion at Bain is helping coach my team to do better at their jobs and coaching my clients to do better at theirs. I enjoy working with people who love what they do and are always looking to do it better. However, my main passion is spending time with my wife and kids, whether it's going on some big family adventure or just hanging out at the house.

My favorite case

My favorite recent case was working with a major oil company to transform their organization. The easy part was helping them with the 'hard' parts of the org design: the org charts, the decision rights and so on. The much more difficult and rewarding part was helping the senior clients work through the 'softer' challenges of changing the culture of a massive organization.

My personal results story

One of the most rewarding parts of the job is when one of your clients starts to open up and ask your advice on things he or she is struggling with outside the project. This is when you know you've made a real personal connection and can start to really help them do their jobs better.

A final thought

After many years at Bain, one thing that continues to surprise me is how the job just keeps getting more and more interesting.
