Why Consulting?
Consulting offered an opportunity to experience various industries
and different functional areas at the same time. This was very
exciting for me pre-MBA, as it gave me an opportunity to assess
what within these industries and capabilities I found
interesting.
Why Bain?
Bain has a great set of people. From my very first interaction, the
people I met were very smart, driven and down-to-earth. Adding to
that fact that Bain was one of the leadersthe leaders in the
consulting industry, both in India and globally, the choice was
pretty easy.
A memorable experience at Bain.
Associate Consultant Training (ACT) was a unique and memorable
experience. It gave me the opportunity to meet other new ACs from
across the Bain system in a scenic location- Cape Cod,
Massachusetts. It was an unbelievably fun experience and a great
learning, as well as networking opportunity.
How is Bain India office unique?
India is a young and growing office. It is very exciting to be part
of the journey that Bain India is undertaking. The atmosphere in
the office is very friendly and there is great connectivity within
the office as a whole.
Interests outside work.
I enjoy following sports such as soccer and cricket. The rest of my
time is spent relaxing with friends and travelling. As part of
Bain's community initiative, I also spend some time on weekends
volunteering at a home for street children aschildren as part of
Bain's Prayas initiative.
Advice for prospective applicants.
Prepare for the case study section of the interview. For the rest,
just be yourself and make sure you ask any questions that you may
have. Be precise and structured in your thinking and the rest
should work well!
