Why Consulting?
Consulting offers the ability to sharpen your problem solving and
managerial skills, as well as teaches you how to work with and
influence business leaders - you get an opportunity to drive
tangible results in the business world.
Why Bain?
In one word- 'people'. The Bain DNA is truly unique - people across
offices and tenure are not only smart but also incredibly down to
earth. Plus, I have a family history with Bain - both my siblings
worked for Bain and I decided to continue the tradition.
A memorable experience at Bain
A memorable experience for me was being told by the client to put
our "pencils down" midway through a private equity due
diligence.
Within two weeks of our work, we had changed their hypothesis on
industry growth and convinced them to not make a costly
acquisition. The target later got sold to another fund that
eventually struggled to realize value from it.
How is Bain India office unique?
The story of Bain India is one of unstoppable growth. I have worked
in other Bain offices and the growth in our client and people
assets in a short period of time has been phenomenal.
Interests outside work
I enjoy thoroughbred horse racing and have owned and raced horses
as a jockey in the amateur horse racing circuit in India.
