Experienced professionals

We recruit experienced professionals to join our team at the associate consultant, consultant, manager and principal roles. We will evaluate your appropriate entry level and make any required leveling adjustment as we learn more about your experience during the recruitment process. Before submitting your online application, please refer to the application and experience guidelines below for each role.

  • Associate consultants (ACs) from our experienced professional route typically join us with two to five years of work experience. In addition, if your experience is outside of business or doesn’t involve highly analytical, quantitative work, please review this role. If you have less than two years experience, you will join our graduate programme and should select Undergrad or Advanced Degree when you apply. For individuals interested in a 2016 start date, please apply now.
  • Consultants are selectively hired from experienced professionals with an average of four to seven years of successful business or consulting experience. Visit our consultant page to learn more about the role and qualifications necessary.
  • Managers and principals: If you have experience leading teams and working with senior clients within a consulting firm or similar business environment—such as internal consulting or strategic planning—please review the manager and principal roles on JoinBain.com.

Please email IndustryRecruiting.London@Bain.com about the experienced professional recruiting process at Bain London.

AC interview

Bain’s recruitment process for the AC position involves a number of case interviews. Each case interview will entail a discussion of an actual Bain case, so you will also gain some insights into what it is like to work at Bain. We encourage you to prepare for your case interviews.

Successful applicants will participate in up to two rounds of interviews, each with two to three 35-40 minute interviews.

First round
You will meet with an AC and a consultant in our London office or via video conference if you are invited to interview with Bain. The bulk of your first round of interviews will revolve around the discussion of Bain cases. Your interviewer will present a short business problem and then ask you to structure the problem and recommend a practical solution. Your interview may begin with an opportunity to share your achievements and future goals. You should also have time at the end to ask your interviewer questions.

Second round
Those successfully passing the first round will participate in a second round of interviews. You will meet with Bain managers, principals or partners in the London office. The second round will consist of three case interviews.

Consultant interview

The consultant recruitment process involves a combination of case and experience interviews to help us get to know you better.
