Why Bain?

I decided to move into consulting after business school as I was interested in working with companies on their key operational and strategic challenges and opportunities. I chose Bain because I really connected with the people I met during the interview process. Bain people are hardworking, passionate and enthusiastic, both professionally and privately, which creates a really fun and exciting work environment.

My passion

My passion outside of the office is sports, particularly running and cycling. Luckily, there are a lot of people at Bain who share this passion, so I have managed to do regular case team runs and spinning sessions!

My favorite case

I worked on the growth strategy for a global consumer goods company. We reviewed the pricing, distribution, advertising and product mix. It was really interesting, as the case covered so many key growth aspects for the company. What made it even more fun was the fact that I am a regular consumer of the product and knew it very well!

My personal results story

During the case for the global consumer goods company, I progressed through the case, starting with the development of analyses and workshop materials. By the end of the case, I stood in front of the company’s senior sales and marketing managers and coached them on how to think about pricing choices and prioritise advertising spending.

Describe your role and responsibilities on a case team

You will most likely be spending a lot of time with your colleagues, so working with people you genuinely enjoy spending time with will make all the difference.
