Professional development

Training
There are several types of training programs at Bain:
  • Core international programs: Every year, our consulting staff spends between one and two weeks attending intensive off-site programs with their worldwide peers. These progras provide the basics needed to work at your level. Some are even prepared by one to two weeks of local preparatory sessions
  • Specific skills programs: Whether you need to refresh your notions of corporate finance, your presentation skills or your language skills, Bain organizes year-round several sessions at the local level
  • Experience sharing sessions: Frequent office meetings are organized to share some of our best practices

The majority of our programs are taught in-house by our own consulting staff (they know best your requirements). And just to make sure you are well trained, most study material is available online, on your desktop or via the Internet, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Obtaining an MBA while at Bain
At Bain Moscow, we consider the pursuit of an MBA degree to be part of the normal professional development of our consultants. Therefore, we are prepared to sponsor and finance your enrollment in an MBA program.

A select group of business schools are covered by Bain’s MBA policy. To be eligible, consultants must have worked at Bain for at least two years and be considered "on-track" performers. They must also commit to rejoining Bain upon receiving their degree. Consultants wanting to pursue their MBA degree will receive our help completing their applications and getting personal recommendations. They will also receive funding to pay for tuition and fees.

Obtaining an MBA, however, is not a prerequisite for getting a promotion at Bain. Individuals who would like to pursue their careers without an MBA will have other professional development opportunities including participating in Bain’s six-month transfer program or pursuing an externship.
