Bain is a wonderful place to work - to me, it offers an unbeatable combination of impact, learning, fun, and rewards. double-quote-close

Why Bain?

I joined in London in 1999 from another, smaller consulting boutique, which was being acquired by a larger competitor. Bain was the clear choice for me - it still had the same exciting entrepreneurial culture that I had enjoyed so much at my previous firm, but was also best-in-class across the board in areas like training, mentorship, global network of offices, etc.

My passion

At Bain I am really passionate about building strong relationships with change-oriented clients, where we can literally see the difference we're making with our clients - not only in their stock price (although that's critical) but also in the personal and professional success of our clients themselves. And our team-based approach means that I work with, and learn from, an amazing set of mentors, peers and team members every day. I am also very passionate about training and development, and run one of our annual MBA training programs every year for New Consultants.

Outside of work I love being active and trying new things - this year I tried ice climbing and surfing for the first time, and loved them both!

My favorite case

I am currently involved in a transformation of a leading insurance company, helping them to increase their overall organizational effectiveness. We are specifically focused on making a step-change in how they make decisions, using our "DDO toolkit" (DDO = Decision-Driven Organization).

My perspective on diversity at Bain

I believe diversity is essential to the way we operate at Bain. The type of business problems that we need to solve these days requires a truly multi-dimensional view that you simply can't achieve without a diverse set of perspectives and inputs. We deal with this by working in teams, comprised of a diverse group of people who can bring different perspectives to bear, and ensuring sufficient time for the entire team to debate, discuss and refine "the answer" on a regular basis.

A final thought

Bain is a wonderful place to work - to me, it offers an unbeatable combination of impact, learning, fun, and rewards.
