Manager, New York

Serving my community and those in need has always been an important part of my life and that hasn't changed since I've been at Bain. double-quote-close

Why Bain?

I was initially interested in consulting because of the fast pace and the chance to learn about a lot of different industries.  I was attracted to Bain in particular because I got along so well with the people.  I found that I really liked working in groups with Bainies during business school because of their work ethic and balance.  I also enjoyed hanging out with Bain people outside of school socially or through extra-curriculars.

My passion

Serving my community and those in need has always been an important part of my life and that hasn't changed since I've been at Bain.  I helped to organize Bain's annual service project in conjunction with City Year New York this year.  It was great to see the office support such a good cause.  Outside of the office I serve on the board of Starting Artists, an after-school arts program in Brooklyn and on the Penn Student Performing Arts Alumni advisory committee.

My favorite case

I worked on a media project for a private equity client last spring.  We were tasked with predicting the advertising market and identifying growth areas.  This actually led us to study several different industries to build from the bottom up how much advertising spending would change in the next few years.

A final thought

Enjoy the recruiting process and try to get to know as many people as possible.  The best way to get a feel for a company is to meet the people with whom you'll be working.
