Who should apply to be an AC?
We encourage you to apply for the AC position if you are pursuing the final year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree. Learn more about becoming an AC.

Bain Nordic recruits for full-time positions throughout the year. Please include your CV, cover letter and grade transcripts (both high school and university) in your application. Applications are accepted year-round.

Internships

Be an AC for a few weeks
We offer associate consultant internship (ACI) opportunities to bachelor’s and master’s degree students between their third and fourth years at school. Candidates are encouraged to apply at one of our four offices in Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen or Oslo. The ACI role is ideal for top-performing students who are ready for real-life business experiences in an energetic and professional environment. Learn more about the ACI role.

Internships at the Stockholm office are six weeks long and 8-10 weeks long at the other Nordic offices. Please visit JoinBain.com to apply.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have a long-term interest in working in the Nordic region. There are more than 15 nationalities in our four Nordic offices, but even with our different backgrounds, what we have in common is a long-term willingness to stay in the Nordic region. Our working language is English, so while knowledge of a Nordic language is nice to have, it is not a requirement.

Please contact us with questions regarding ACI recruiting.

Interviews

Our interview process involves a series of case interviews to help us get to know you better. Since each of the case interviews will entail a discussion of an actual Bain case, you will also gain some insights into what it is like to work at Bain. We encourage you to prepare for your case interviews.

Successful candidates will participate in up to three rounds of interviews, each with two 60-minute case interviews.

First round
You will meet with two senior ACs or consultants on your university’s campus, in one of our Nordic offices or over the phone, if you are invited to interview with Bain.

The bulk of the first round of interviews will revolve around the discussion of Bain cases. Your interviewer will present a short business problem and then ask you to structure the problem and recommend a practical solution.

Your interview may kick off with an opportunity to share your achievements and future goals. You should also have time at the end to ask your interviewer questions.

Second and third rounds
Those successfully passing the first round will participate in a second round of two interviews, and possibly a third round. These interviews are typically held in one of our Nordic offices. You will meet with Bain consultants, managers, principals or partners in these rounds. Both rounds will consist of two case interviews.
