Our team measures its success from helping our clients achieve outstanding results. Through our involvement in nonprofit projects, we put into action some important values in the Bain culture: sharing, openness and assisting others. The Paris office thus encourages its employees to choose to dedicate some of their time and energy to get involved in nonprofit projects. For more than 15 years Bain Paris has partnered with and continuously contributed to various associations and foundations.
Our involvement is twofold: either we make consultant resources available for a specific project on an individual/institutional basis or we have as many consultants as possible involved in fund-raising efforts. In the first case, our goal is to improve the efficiency of our partners by leveraging our expertise in strategy and management consulting and tools adapted specifically to the nonprofit sector. Logistical, marketing or financial support can sometimes complement our action. In the second case, our objective is to support projects responding to specific and urgent needs (a natural disaster, for instance).
Our involvement is focused on two main domains: childhood/education and social entrepreneurship. We concentrate on a few associations with which we build long-standing relationships.
Fondation pour l'Enfance: Bain Paris has been a regular partner for 15 years and we are proud to have contributed to the development of the "SOS—Missing Child" call-center's business plan. We are also involved in the support of a nursery school in an underprivileged area in the suburbs of Paris.
Haiti 2010: We support "Plein Soleil," an association that runs a primary school in Port-au-Prince. We raised a quarter of the budget needed to build a second school and helped with the communication tools to raise the remaining part of the budget. The new school opened in october 2010 and gives access to education to 200 children.
Bain Cares Paris is in the process of extending its reach to other non-profit organizations to meet our employees demands to get involved and to give back to the community.
Getting involved in nonprofit projects is a long-standing tradition at Bain and all offices take part in the global Bain Cares program. On top of local actions, our teams are involved in larger-scale programs such as the Mexico Special Olympics.
