Strategic consultancy's essence is to help clients overcome their most complex challenges. Thus, we look for people who can contribute to structure, analyze these challenges and come up with both creative and pragmatic alternatives—alternatives that can genuinely add value to our clients.
Another distinguishing characteristic of our culture is that we measure ourselves through our client's success. We do not deliver recommendations or reports: we deliver results. And that's why we focus so much on results orientation and value creation when we seek future Bain consultants. Furthermore, being passionate about people and teamwork are indispensable to the development of our professionals—and is also what differentiates our professionals in our field. We believe in the "Work hard, play hard" culture as being central to a successful career. It is not enough to have a good résumé—we are looking for consultants who are passionate about both their work and their life.
To gather the set of skills and diversity necessary for our work, we look for potential consultants throughout different career stages and from different backgrounds:

Undergraduates and recently graduated
Bain's Brazil office offers undergraduates the opportunity to join Bain as interns. Those who have recently graduated (up to three years ago) can apply for the associate consultant position, the first stage in Bain's career path.
At our Brazilian office, associate consultants have a very high degree of responsibility. In addition to performing analysis and generating conclusions that support the analytical part of the job, ACs also structure the project and build relationships with our clients from their very first day.
Regarding our internship program, there are two options: one for junior students (between 12 and 24 months prior to graduation) and one for to senior students (up to 12 months prior to graduation). Junior students join Bain as interns in our information services department, a center of excellence in research, and are responsible for supporting our consulting staff, working on several projects and industries in parallel.
Senior students join Bain as consulting interns working directly in a team designed for a specific project. The intern will not be staffed outside São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro or in any other situation that may interfere with his or her academic life. Senior students from colleges outside the area have the opportunity to do a summer internship in Bain Brazil.
