As the world economy rebounds from of one of the deepest economic crises ever witnessed in modern times, we can look forward to the wealth of opportunities that will arise for our clients, located in one of the hot spots of the current economic cycle. Bain South America is as ready as ever to work by their side to devise the most effective strategies and deliver outstanding financial results.
Despite the crisis, 2010 and 2011 were years of growth for our South American offices, just as in each the previous 13 years. With 23 partners and well over 230 professionals, we now are able to serve an even larger number of clients across a wider spectrum of industries and geographies.
We are very proud of our achievements. We are also proud of the fact that, since our first day and first employees in Brazil, we have worked with change-oriented multinational and local business leaders who seek to create real results. In our work, we combine our global experience with a deep understanding of the South American market and culture. Our recommendations are concrete and actionable.
Since the foundation of our first South American office in São Paulo, in November 1997, we have seen good times and bad times, but we have remained firmly committed to our values and objectives. That's why our clients have rewarded us with many consecutive years of growth. As local and multinational companies face increasing complications of doing business in the future, we are committed to be here to help business leaders solve their issues and explore further profitable growth opportunities.
Bain South America has worked with clients in over 20 industries. Our capabilities extend to all areas of strategy, performance improvement, organization enhancement, mergers & acquisitions, and private equity. Out of our three well established offices, in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and more recently Rio de Janeiro, we serve clients throughout the entire South American region. All the three offices are fully integrated into the global network of Bain & Company, with seamless access to our intellectual capital, toolkit and expertise. Our people fully benefit from our global training programs, as well as global case assignments, practice initiatives, pro bono work and fun events.
Always employing the Bain worldwide approach, the three South American offices are characterized by a strong and constant focus on results.
