Brazilian commerce abroad expanded more than 10% per year over the last two decades. In 2014, however, such commerce decreased by 7%. The Brazilian economy also came to a halt: in 2014, GDP rose just 0.1%, and putting the economy back on track will not be easy. Eliminating some of the obstacles to exports in the most promising economic sectors would be a good start.
