We believe that teamwork creates more value and generates more opportunities than individuals working alone. At Bain, you'll be an active member of a case team from day one. You will work together to identify information sources, interview clients' customers and competitors, and gather and interpret data. Your work will drive action for the client and help management make the big decisions.

A typical Bain case team includes a partner, a manager, and a number of consultants and associate consultants. In many North American offices, you will work on two cases at the same time. In other offices, you are more likely to focus on one case full-time. Either way, you'll learn quickly and always be challenged. Mentorship at every level provides in-depth learning and professional development.

Strong professional relationships are built on both collaborative work and unstructured time to relax and get to know one another. Team events are organized on both case team and office-wide levels. There are also inter-office events, which global Bain offices organize together. Here are some of the highlights of team events outside of work that the Bain Seoul office organizes and attends.

Summer retreat
Summer retreat is usually held in a well-known holiday destination abroad. It serves as an opportunity to share Bain's future strategy office-wide, and each team/class or overall office also renews its teamwork spirit and unity as one team. In 2008, the Seoul office held its summer retreat in Hainan, China. Every three or four years, the Asia region summer retreat is held and is attended by all the Asian offices.

Year-end party
Every year, we hold a party to congratulate the members on their good work and recognize Bain Korea’s accomplishments during the year. It is also a good venue to reveal the hidden talents of Bain people. This party is usually planned by the new ACs. The party is open to all of Bain, including the families of Bainies as well as Bain alumni, who are always welcome. It is an event where you can feel the unique culture, passion and friendliness of Bain. The party closes with a Bain band rock concert as the grand finale.

Bain World Cup
The Bain World Cup is an annual soccer tournament played among teams from all of Bain's global offices. Each year, 400 to 500 Bainies come together for a weekend of fun, socializing and soccer matches. Bain World Cup has been held in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and other European countries.

Case team event
Case team events are opportunities for Bain teams to unwind from case work in a social setting typically toward the end of a case. Past activities have included special dinners, spa retreats, sporting events and cultural excursions.
