First 100 minutes, hours and days of a new CEO

We hear a lot of about the "golden period." A CEO's first 100 days in the role typically determine the course of action for the future. If you miss this valuable time slot, your actions can lose their effectiveness and you become less likely to recoup from disasters. If you survive the first 100 days, however, you should be positioned for relatively smooth sailing for the rest of your tenure. The important thing is that everyone has this opportunity in their first 100 days, but the caveat is that you only have one chance to get it right.
