Matt Zafra

Matt is a member of our Healthcare and Life Sciences practice. He also co-leads our social impact efforts across Southeast Asia.

Matt has more than 15 years of industry and management consulting experience. He works extensively with the leading payers, providers, digital health, life sciences, and public sector entities and ministries in the region, as well as investors and conglomerates. He has led multiple projects across Asia Pacific, with an emphasis on growth strategy, ecosystem partnerships, commercial due diligence, and organizational effectiveness.

Prior to Bain, Matt held senior industry roles in insurance in both Manila and Singapore. He is originally from the United States, but has lived in Singapore for over 10 years.

Matt holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology, minor in biological sciences, and a master's degree in sociology, both from Stanford University.
