Biografie Nicolás

Nicolás López is a partner in Bain & Company's Madrid office. He leads Bain's Financial Services practice in Madrid.

He has more than 15 years of management consulting experience and delivers strategies that work for clients.

Within the financial services sector, Nicolás has extensive experience advising banks, insurance companies and asset management companies. He holds expertise in the design and execution of customer experience strategies, development of digital strategies, assessment of strategic implications from regulatory changes, development of restructuring plans, design and implementation of strategic plans, segment strategies (private banking, affluent and SMEs), sales force improvement, organization and restructuring of troubled asset units and post-merger integration.

Nicolás is also heavily involved in the Private Equity practice, serving funds in both diligence and post-acquisition projects related to Spanish financial services and real estate targets.

He has applied his consulting expertise globally, having served clients in the United States, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Poland, Switzerland, Greece, UK, France, Portugal, Thailand and Spain.

In addition to his client work, Nicolás has served as a trainer for Bain's global and local training programs. In 2010, he was the first Bain Madrid employee to win the Bright-Dix Award for excellence in professional development.

Nicolás holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa, where he graduated second in his class. He is an economist from the University Complutense of Madrid.
