Alex Noether is a leader within our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Social Impact practices. He advises private sector clients on ways to drive greater equity and inclusion in their talent management, business practices, and community endeavors. Additionally, Alex collaborates with various non-profits on closing societal inequities, especially racial wealth gaps.

Internally, Alex is a member and leader within the Blacks at Bain (BABs) employee resource group. He serves as the Champion for our Toronto and New York chapters, driving local efforts around recruiting, professional development, and social connectivity.

Previously, Alex launched and spearheaded our global Unconscious Bias program. In this role, he led the firm’s DEI educational efforts and partnered with senior leadership to refine Bain's systems and processes to mitigate biases and ensure equitable outcomes.

Alex joined us full-time in 2012 - originally focusing on Technology, Media, and Telecom. He has worked in our Chicago, New York, and Toronto offices. Prior to joining Bain, Alex worked for Aramark, a leading provider of outsourced food, facilities, and uniforms services.

He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a B.A. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
