FRWD is a team of digital marketing and media specialists, working within integrated teams alongside Bain consultants, to help our clients build and quickly scale their marketing capabilities. We bridge the gap between brand, marketing, strategy and execution. Combining expertise across business strategy and marketing (with a focus on digital channels), we help our clients build the marketing infrastructure they need to become leaders in their industries through organizational design, operating model design and test and learn methodologies.

FRWD is not an agency and does not aim to win agency contracts, but during a typical Bain project (case) the FRWD team may implement campaigns across all digital channels including creative and production if the client and their agencies are not able to implement agile campaigns yet.
Yes. The work done at FRWD requires deep hands-on-keyboard digital media and marketing implementation experience. As we are not an agency, these craftsmanship skills need to be acquired in an agency, a client in-house team or a tech company prior to joining. As everyone needs to know a range of digital platforms and technologies inside-out before they join, this means we do not hire graduates into the team.
The ultimate goal of our projects is to empower the client by establishing new capabilities around data driven marketing and sales, constant testing and ROI improvement with agile cross-functional ways of working (including external partners like agencies), supported by a fit-to-purpose MarTech and data stack. We focus on driving measurable business results. Depending on the focus of the project (e.g. E-Comm), the team will dive deeper on some of these elements.
A typical Bain project (case) lasts between one and six months. Usually, a FRWD project starts with a diagnostic, in which the FRWD team applies Bain depth and rigor by analyzing the client’s marketing performance, goes deep into the buying tools, analyses ways of working, marketing technology stack and measurement approach. As a result, the full potential of marketing driven growth is identified and sized, quick-wins and potential growth levers are identified and prioritized for testing and roll-out.
Your professional development is a priority and we want to help you develop as a professional and expert. When you start, you will go through an onboarding program that includes formal training sessions and shadowing opportunities in addition to our established ways of working and team norms. These include weekly development chats, regular coaching/project review meetings and other global trainings to ensure you develop the skills you need to accelerate your career.
