Hang’s core industry expertise spans cybersecurity, hardware, media, telecommunications, retail, software and semiconductors.
His key areas of functional expertise include management consulting, corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), market entry and expansion, NPS, pricing, sales operations, supply chain, go-to-market initiatives, turnaround, product management and both software and hardware development.
He also holds deep knowledge of the semiconductor value chain, including semi cap, foundry, integrated device manufacturing (IDM), fabless, electronic design automation (EDA), intellectual property (IP) and memory.
Additionally, he is well versed in 5G wireless technology, ecosystems and devices, including mobile, personal computers (PC), wearables and the Internet of things (IoT). Further, within the research and product development sphere, he focuses on investment strategy and portfolios, as well as performance improvement.
Prior to joining Bain in 2009, Hang served as a program manager at Microsoft Corporation and as a software and hardware design engineer within various technology organizations.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, as well as a degree in computer engineering from the University of Waterloo.
